Developed in scientific cooperation with the Ruhr University Bochum.
In close collaboration with the scientists from the Ruhr University in Bochum, we have succeeded in optimizing the alloy components. The addition of nitrogen (N) makes it possible. GTS 12 is therefore harder than all comparable stainless steels.
Until now, PM steel has been the measure of all things when it comes to corrosion resistance, hardness and toughness. PM steel is often ruled out in many applications due to the very high material costs. GTS 12 has similar advantages and properties as PM steel. And it is many times cheaper!
